Early in the creation of the RAD business, an insurance client took a calculated risk on us and low-code through the Mendix Platform to launch a new product. Speed to market was critical to gain market share and traditional development wasn’t up to the speed of change and iteration required. This details the risks and how we overcame them through following Agile principles and leveraging low code together.
We’ve successfully helped deliver many Higher Education compliance applications leveraging the low-code Mendix platform. Compliance with regulatory changes such as Effort Reporting is a cumbersome process that requires a lot of coordination between project managers, staff, faculty, and IT systems. In some cases, commercial off-the-shelf applications are good enough, but in others, we’ve found that they require a more streamlined process to make it easier to reach compliance. I share some of those decision points and the pros and cons our clients used to evaluate each.
